Italian pasta with meat-based red sauce and grated cheese on top.
Easy to cook and delicious Spaghetti Bolognese.

Spaghetti Bolognese is a type of Italian pasta with a thick red sauce and grated cheese. This pasta can be eaten for lunch or dinner. This thick red sauce is the hallmark of this pasta. In America, they usually think of the spaghetti sauce as a tomato-based sauce, boiled with ground beef, and served over spaghetti. Bolognese sauce is a meat sauce that contains tomatoes. This is a thick sauce and sometimes milk is added to enhance the savory taste and tenderize the meat. Bolognese is different from Ragu. Both are indeed Italian favorite sauces, both are sauces made with meat, but they are different. Ragu is an Italian meat-based sauce. Most people think of Ragu as a tomato sauce, but it's actually a meat-based sauce (beef, pork, chicken, or lamb) with a bit of tomato sauce added to it. The bolognese sauce is a variation of Ragu and the most popular version of Ragu. Bolognese sauce originated in Bologna, Italy, and has been around since the 15th century to make Spaghetti Bolognese. This sauce uses beef, onions, tomato paste, beef stock, and milk/cream. Bolognese sauces have different variations in terms of meat choices, for example, beef, pork, chicken, etc. Ketchup and oregano are the main ingredients when making Spaghetti Bolognese. You can also add minced beef to the red sauce. If you want to make red sauce easily, you can buy Delmonte Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce. This sauce already has the flavor of spaghetti bolognese, but you have to keep adding other spices to make it even yummier. As a side dish, sprinkle grated cheese on top of the red sauce.
