Delicious ham and chicken rolls are a perfect party food or easy weeknight meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have these tasty rolls on the table in no time. To make ham and chicken rolls, start by slicing the chicken breast thinly, adding some ham or pepperoni on top of it, rolling, and covering it with beaten eggs and tapioca flour. It's always better to put the chicken rolls in the freezer first before frying, it will tighten all the covered egg and flour. And for the sauce, thicken sauce will escalate your taste with the chicken rolls. This sauce has a very unique taste and aroma. It's sour and sweet, but you can add chili sauce if you like spicy. Making this sauce is super easy! You just need tomato sauce, vinegar, peas, onion, garlic, sugar, and a little bit of salt and pepper. For thickening the sauce, you need cornstarch, mix it with water, then pour it into the sauce, make it boil, and you're done! It's very easy to make this dish for a beginner cooker. Ingredients

  • 250g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 pieces of ham or 10-12 pieces of pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 200g tapioca flour
  • Cooking oil for frying

Thick Sauce

  • 1 garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 150 ml of water
  • 4-5 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 handful of peas
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1-2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + a little bit of water

Steps

Slice the chicken breast thinly, then add 1 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Leave it for 10 minutes.

Place the ham or pepperoni on top of the chicken breast as in the photo, then roll up. You can use a toothpick to tighten the roll.

Prepare beaten eggs and tapioca flour. Dip the chicken rolls into the beaten eggs, coat them with tapioca flour, and press lightly the chicken rolls so that the flour is completely absorbed. Place the chicken rolls in the freezer for 20 minutes.

Take out the chicken rolls from the refrigerator and fry until golden brown.

Sauce: Saute garlic and onions until fragrant.

Add the water, tomato sauce, peas, salt, pepper, sugar, and vinegar. Stir until boiling, and make sure it tastes as desired. After that, mix the cornstarch with a little bit of water, and pour it into the sauce, stir until it thickens.
